What we have learned over the years is that a golfer must have solid fundamentals. Once these are established the finer points of technique can be honed.
Players can begin to help themselves with the knowledge of the fundamentals of their swing and game, so as coaches, we first build the best foundation we can, then only do we add the bells and whistles.

Priding themselves on helping each player develop his or her golfing ability in a fun and exciting environment, LJM Golf is committed to growing junior golf in the Western Cape.
Juniors as young as four years old can be accommodated with Start New At Golf (SNAG) equipment, which is a first touch foundation program for all our little ones looking to enjoy the game of golf. This cutting edge, child friendly equipment is used to make learning this difficult sport both fun and easy!
LJM Golf utilises premium technology and training aids to help each golfer become the best that they can be. The academy offers both a launch monitor, which allows instructors to assess precisely how the ball is flying, how the club is moving and therefore how best to optimize each individual’s swing.
The magnificent driving range and chipping/putting greens of De Zalze Golf Club offer a wonderful area for golfers to hone their skills with the help of professional coaches.
The indoor performance studio is also a fantastic place to have lessons when the weather isn’t suitable for coaching outdoors. Used in this facility, the launch monitor helps to work on technique, distance gapping and wedge play.

Celebrating a rich history, the origins of our championship golf course dates back to the mid-1990s when renowned golf course designer Peter Matkovich was first commissioned to design an 18-hole course stretching over three farms on the outskirts of Stellenbosch. With courses such as the Steenberg Golf Course in Cape Town and Arabella near Kleinmond under the belt, Matkovich was eager to turn De Zalze Golf Estate into a golfing experience like no other.
The De Zalze Golf Course is situated within the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate. Our course is the perfect test for all golfers.
